Advocate Cameron Sello Morajane has led the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CMMA) as Director for a period of 10 years, and a Professor of Practice at the University of Johannesburg (UJ). He is an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa, and is registered as a practising advocate with the Legal Practice Council (LPC).
Adv Morajane is a seasoned and accomplished executive leader with
extensive experience in Corporate Law, Labour Law, Dispute Resolution, Dispute Management and Prevention, Public Service, and Organizational Management. At the CCMA, he over saw the implementation of it's mandate to advance economic development, social justice, labour peace, and the democratization of the workplace.
With over 20 years of experience, Adv Morajane has a proven track record
of leadership, strategic vision, and organizational success. Under his
stewardship, the CCMA realised its vision of being “a world-class institution that promotes labour peace, market stability, social justice, and job security.” His leadership has contributed to the CCMA achieving consecutive clean audit outcomes, with no irregular or wasteful
expenditure recorded by the Auditor-General of South Africa.
Furthermore, the organization has consistently met and exceeded its annual performance targets. Adv Morajane is a recipient of the Leadership Award from the Law Society of South Africa. He holds a B Juris, LLB, and LLM from the University of South Africa (UNISA), an AFSA Diploma in Alternative Dispute Resolution (cum laude), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Corporate Law from the University of Johannesburg (UJ). He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Laws (LLD) degree at UJ.
As part of his commitment to continuous professional development, he has obtained several additional qualifications, including a Civil Law
Mediation Certificate from L.E.A.D. and an Advanced Trial Advocacy Certificate from the Black Lawyers Association (BLA). He also completed a twelve-month pupillage programme with the Pan African Bar Association of South Africa (PABASA), earning several distinctions.
